WHAT'S AN EMPOWERMENT SCHOLARSHIP ACCOUNT OR UNIVERSAL ESA?
An ESA is an educational option outside of the traditional public school system. State Funds are available to pay for private school tuition (including religious schools), home-based curriculum, uniforms, tutoring therapies, books & more! All funded throughthe Arizona Department of Education. Apply once and renew your contract annually.
WHO QUALIFIES?
All Arizona K-12 Children Qualify, No Income Requirement
WHAT'S THE AMOUNT?
Approximately $7,000 per child
WHEN ARE THE DEADLINES TO APPLY?
THE APPLICATION IS OPEN YEAR ROUND & FUNDS ARE DISBURSED QUARTERLY:
Q1: JULY 1-SEPTEMBER 30
Q2: OCTOBER 1-DECEMBER 31
Q3: JANUARY 1-MARCH 31
Q4: APRIL 1-JUNE 30
DO I REPORT ESA FUNDS ON MY TAXES?
Pursuant to State Statue (A.R.S. 15-2402), ESA Funds received DO NOT CONSTITUTE
TAXABLE INCOME to the parent of the qualified student.
